Rob Parsons, Chairman
Rob is responsible for overall company strategy, operational oversight and long‑term customer engagement.
Until 2009 he was Group Operations Director for Revenue Assurance Services plc. He was also a founding Director of Retail Decisions plc in 2000, serving as Managing Director of UK operations and later Group Operations Director, following more than 15 years with Wang Labs Inc.
William Good, Chief Financial Officer
William is responsible for financial governance, corporate compliance and long‑term financial planning.
A finance professional with extensive corporate finance experience in public and private companies, William was a founding Director and Group Finance Director of Retail Decisions plc, roles he also held at Revenue Assurance Services plc and Managed Support Services plc before joining Beck in 2010.
Ian Brock, Sales and Marketing Director
Ian leads sales strategy, account management and customer engagement across Beck's market sectors.
He has more than 30 years' experience in the optical industry, spanning sales, production engineering, procurement and quality control. Ian originally joined as Davin Optronics in 1987 and transferred to Beck in October 2014, working across defence, aerospace, academic and commercial programmes.
Andy Hedges, Operations Director
Andy is responsible for operations, production control and manufacturing delivery.
He has been with the company for more than 30 years, initially in production engineering and control before qualifying as a mechanical engineer and managing optical production. He has since held a range of management roles, including the Sales and Design teams, and now leads Operations.
Robin Hull, Chief Designer
Robin leads the optical systems design team and retains direct involvement in technically complex projects.
He began his career at Rank Pullin Controls in thin film coatings, then moved into optical system design and test at Lanarealm, working across markets and wavebands from UV to thermal imaging. He later worked at GEC Marconi Avionics/BAE Systems before joining Davin Optronics in 2000.
Eddie Judd, Chief Optical Engineer
Eddie provides senior technical and optical design oversight.
Working in optics since 1964, he studied optical design at Imperial College under Professor Charles Wynne. He designed military optics at MEL and pre‑press systems at Crosfield Electronics before joining Davin Optronics in 1976, later serving as Technical Director and lecturing extensively on optics.
