Who We Are
Beck Optronic Solutions is a privately owned UK company operating from a single integrated facility in Hemel Hempstead. We design and manufacture precision optical and opto‑mechanical systems for defence, space, medical and scientific research applications.
Optical and mechanical design, tolerance definition, validation criteria and production release are managed within a single integrated engineering structure, maintaining continuity between development and manufacture.
This continuity ensures alignment between performance intent, mechanical robustness and documented manufacturing control.
Our quality management system is certified to ISO 9001, and we operate to MIL, DEF and DIN standards where programme requirements demand.
How We Engineer Complex Systems
Requirements and System Definition
Engagement begins with structured definition of performance objectives, environmental constraints and mechanical interface conditions. Acceptance criteria, verification methods and configuration boundaries are established early to reduce integration risk and prevent downstream ambiguity.
Optical–Mechanical Co Design
We develop optical and mechanical architectures within controlled design review frameworks. Tolerance budgets, thermal behaviour and alignment strategies are formally assessed and documented to ensure traceability between performance intent and physical implementation.
Production Intent Prototyping
Prototype assemblies are configured within documented processes rather than informal experimental builds. Alignment methodology, inspection standards and configuration control are introduced at development stage to maintain continuity into controlled manufacture.
Controlled Production Release
Pre production assemblies are used to verify optical performance and mechanical integrity against defined acceptance criteria. Validated tolerances, inspection parameters and configuration records are formally transferred into controlled production documentation prior to volume manufacture.
